If you like your Agave spirits, then you’re in for a treat. Agave Love is coming to Singapore.

Following the success and popularity of Agave Love Sydney in 2015, Phil Bayly will be taking the event on tour with a series of in-depth talks, tastings and Mixology sessions to begin in Singapore on 4th & 5th September.

Agave Love’s purpose is the Promotion, Education, Protection and Recognition of the Agave Spirits including the Denomination of Origin – Tequila, Mezcal, and including other spirits like Raicilla and Sotol. With that purpose in mind, the event lineup brings together experts from the industry.

Ten prominent speakers from different sectors of the Agave Spirits industry with a focus on category rather than brand will arrive in Singapore. These Speakers include Tomas Estes. Tequila Ambassador Europe and Julio Bermejo, Tequila Ambassador to USA and Creator of the world-famous Tommy’s Margarita. These Margarita legends will talk about the history of the margarita, its impact on Tequila and why Julio created his famous Tommy’s Margarita.

Other speakers include Esteban Morales, Secretary for the Promodor de la Raicilla who will be taking attendees on a journey through the agave landscape and identifying some of the issues affecting them due to the recent demand and popularity of these spirits and the work being done for the preservation and sustainability of the agave.

Juan Lozoya and Jaime Munoz both from the Mezcal Regulatory council will be talking about Pre-Hispanic Distillation as well as helping people navigate the amazing world of Mezcal, its history and the people and both religious and indigenous cultures behind this amazing spirit.

Lastly, Cecilia Rios Murrieta, owner of La Niña de Mezcal will be talking about the important role women play in the Mezcal industry.

Tickets are priced at $65.31 each. For more information, visit the website here.
